Vacational Studies

Vacational Studies is a British Council Accredited live-in English summer course for young people aged 10–18, held at Cheam School in Berkshire. Running since 1973 under the same director, the programme pairs structured English lessons in small classes with afternoon sports, creative activities, and themed evening events, all in an total English-speaking environment. Students from around the world are admitted by personal recommendation, creating a motivated, positive community. With skilled, dedicated staff maintaining a warm and supportive atmosphere, students grow in confidence both linguistically and socially. Providing Trinity College London GESE spoken English qualifications in addition to a full social programme, Vacational Studies offers a safe, memorable summer experience that families trust generation after generation.
